Mandalay is the second-largest city in Myanmar and is also known as the former royal capital city. It is located in northern Myanmar on the Ayeyarwaddy River where The U Bein Bridge is. This bridge is the longest and oldest teak bridge in the world. In Mandalay, you can find jade, wood carvings, and stone sculptures. You can also watch goldsmiths pound gold into gold leaf. If you wake up early, you can take a morning run alongside the old palace walls or see monks collecting alms throughout the city.
