Day 1 | Yangon
Depend on your international flight time, our professional local guide will be waiting for you at the arrival gate. After that, we will drive straight to the hotel and check in. In the evening, start your visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the Shwe Dagon Pagoda which is the heart of Myanmar’, believed 2600 years old and the central stupa is surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings statues and you can see many pilgrims who offered flowers, incense sticks and candles to Buddha Images. Then, toward to the restaurant for your dinner. Enjoy the buffet dinner with our traditional dancing show. Back to hotel and overnight in Yangon.
Day 2 | Trip to Golden Rock
Get up early in the morning and after your breakfast, drive to the amazing Golden Rock . On the way passing we stop at Htauk-Kyant War Cemetery; memorial cemetery of Allied soldiers who died in the Burma and Assam campaigns of WWII. Enjoy our traditional cruisine (Myanmar Food) for your lunch. Arrive at the Kinpun basecamp, up to the mountain by opened truck to the Hermit Hill camp (appr : 45 mins ). Then walk over the a large platform to the Golden Rock on foot (appr:10 mins). There is a small stupa at the top of the huge rock gilded by golden leaves and this golden rock balanced over the edge of the mountain. Along the way to Golden Rock, many pilgrims are walking up from the base camp and many porters carrying the persons who cannot walk to Golden Rock. Watch the beauty at this important pilgrimage site. Then return with the opened truck to the Kinpun base camp. Re-join your car and driver. And drive to Hpa-an, a lovely and peaceful town. Overnight at Hpa-an.
Day 3 | Explore on Hpa-An
Today, we will be touring around Hpa-An City and learn about Karen ethnic people. We will visit Kaw Ka Thaung cave and one of the most famous cave called Mahar Saddan Cave where you can enjoy tradition Karen long tail boat. After that, we will visit the Karen villages and learn about Karen traditional culture. Have lunch at the village. One night in Hpa-an.
Day 4 | Drive to Bago and Yangon
After breakfast, we are driving straight to Bago, 80 km northeast of Yangon, the ancient capital of Mon kingdom dated back from 1st to 16th Century AD. Upon arrival to Bago, tour highlights ; Kya Kha Wine Monastery to observe one of the largest monasteries and the Buddhist monastic life , then observe the lunch process of thousands of monks at 10:30 am in total silence. Later on, visit the magnificent Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda, is said to be over 1000 years old and was originally built by the Mon. Start to Hintha Hill, legendary hill with 37 Nats’ shrines and learn the Cult of Myanmar People. Then Kanbawzathardi Palace; famed of King Bayint Naung of 15th Century AD. Enjoy lunch at Hanthawaddy Restaurant. After Lunch, Shwe Thar Lyaung (The reclining Buddha); which is 55 meters long and dating back 994 AD. Mya Thar Lyaung ;the Colossal Reclining Buddha Image which was recently restored. And Famous Kal-yar-ni Sima (Ordination Hall) with 10 huge Stone inscriptions. If time permits, observe a local “Cheroot”; mild-cigar making industry in Bago. At last, Kyaik-Pun four huge seated Buddha Images in the open air. Late afternoon, drive back to Yangon, overnight in Yangon.
Day 5 | Fly back home
After breakfast at the hotel, we start our day of exploring downtown Yangon on foot by visiting the most beautiful colonial aged architecture in Southeast Asia. We will pass along the way to Maha-bandula Park where Independent monument exists. Continue our tour by passing City Hall, a little India and a little China by surrounding several important landmarks such as Sule Pagoda, Maha-bandula Park, the High Court and the Main Post Office – all impressive colonial style buildings. Have your lunch at the authentic Myanmar restaurant and enjoy our traditional cuisine. During the walking tour, we’ll take you to an old-school tea shop to try locally grown tea and snacks including pickled tea leaf salad and enjoy Myanmar tea culture. Then, do the free shopping at the Bogyoke Aung San Market (knowns as Scott Market) with is 2000 sprawling shops for traditional arts and crafts, rare antiques and beautiful gemstone, jewellery, clothing and souvenirs. After that, we will transfer you to the Yangon International Airport for your departure.
